ACHA MEN’S ANNUAL CHICAGO SHOWCASE EVENTS COMING IN NOVEMBER PRESENTED BY CAPPER HOCKEY SERVICES, LLC
34 ACHA MEN’S DIVISION TEAMS WILL DESCEND UPON METROPOLITAN CHICAGO TO COMPETE
TROY, Mich. – (October 23, 2025) – The American Collegiate Hockey Association, the governing body for non-NCAA collegiate hockey in the United States, announced today that Capper Hockey Services, LLC will once again present two showcase events in metropolitan Chicago, the ACHA Chicago Classic and the ACHA Big Classic Chicago. The showcases will feature 34 teams from all three divisions of ACHA Men’s Hockey.
Capper Hockey’s Chicago Classic has been a staple in the metropolitan Chicago area for the past six years and continues to grow every year. 18 ACHA Men’s Division I teams will meet in Romeoville from November 20-23, 2025, to play three games over four days. All ACHA Chicago Classic games will be held at Canlan Ice Arena in Romeoville, Ill.
10 ACHA Men’s Division I teams that participated in last season’s ACHA Chicago Classic are returning to take part this year: Arizona State University, Illinois State University, Roosevelt University, University of Alabama, University of Delaware, University of Jamestown, University of Mary, University of Michigan-Dearborn, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and University of Rhode Island. Those 10 teams will be joined by another eight ACHA Men’s Division I teams in the expanded field for this year: Drury University, Minot State University, Ohio University, Purdue University Northwest, University of Illinois, University of Oregon, University of Utah, and West Chester University.

In addition to the ACHA Chicago Classic, Capper Hockey will also host the 2nd Annual ACHA Big Classic Chicago on the same weekend, November 21-23, 2025, at Canlan Ice Arena in West Dundee, Ill. The ACHA Big Classic Chicago will feature 10 teams from ACHA Men’s Division II and six Men’s Division III teams representing Big Ten conference schools.
The 10 ACHA Men’s Division II teams participating in the ACHA Big Classic Chicago are: Indiana University, Michigan State University, Ohio State University, University of Illinois, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota, University of Nebraska, University of Washington, and University of Wisconsin. Each team will play three games in three days in a tournament format, culminating in the ACHA Big Classic Chicago Championship Game on Sunday, November 23rd.
The six ACHA Men’s Division III teams participating in the ACHA Big Classic Chicago are: Indiana University, Northwestern University, Purdue University, University of Nebraska, University of Nebraska-Omaha, and University of Wisconsin. Each team will play three games in three days.
