The Great Falls Americans of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Zac Orwig has committed to play college hockey for the University of Oregon.

Orwig is a seasoned veteran in the NA3HL, playing four seasons in the league for numerous teams, most recently and most of his games being in a Great Falls Americans jersey. Appearing in 172 games, the Bettendorf, IA native racked up 100 points (31 goals, 69 assists). The 2024-25 season was his best campaign yet, having a massive increase in his point production, averaging 1.15 points per game as the team’s third overall leading scorer.

He tallied multiple points in 15 games this season, with a standout performance coming in the Americans’ 5-1 win over the Sheridan Hawks on October 4th. In that game, he recorded a hat trick and added an assist, playing a key role in the team’s dominant victory.

Orwig is one of four players from the Americans to make a college commitment this season.
