The Badlands Sabres of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Jackson Roethler has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for Adrian College (Adrian, Michigan).
The Kasson, Minnesota native has been with the Sabres for two seasons and has played in 41 games for the team. In those 41 games, Roethler has a 2.96 GAA, .912 SV% and a 16-15-1 record.
The best season statistically for Roethler came during the 2024-25 season when he recorded a 2.78 GAA and .921 SV%.
“Jackson was an integral part of our team’s success the last two seasons. He really grew as a leader for our group, and I can’t speak highly enough about his character,” said Badland Sabres Head Coach Brooks Mitzel. “He was consistently our hardest working player and really developed his game while he was with us. I wish Jackson nothing but the best in the future, we know he will do well at Adrian.”
Roethler’s best performance between the pipes came against the Great Falls Americans on Sept. 12. In that game, Roethler stopped all of the 37 shots that he faced to help lead his team to a 2-0 win on the road.
Roethler is one of two players from the Badlands Sabres to make a college commitment this season.
