Davyn LaRocke has a new place to hang his pads.

The Cochrane Generals’ goalie has committed to play for the Boise State Broncos of the American Collegiate Hockey Association for the 2022-23 season.

The 6’2″, 165 lb. goalie from Calgary played his last two seasons of junior hockey with the Cochrane Generals after a one-year stint with the High River Flyers.

In his last season with the Generals, he played 17 regular season games with a 2.50 GAA, a 0.920 save percentage, one shut out, and a 12-5 record. His playoff record was 8-5 with one shutout and a 2.65 GAA and a 0.910 save percentage in 14 games.

In making the announcement, Boise State team officials say LaRocke will bring to the team his skills and experience with his junior hockey background. In his last season with the Gens, the team was an HJHL finalist and won silver in the provincials.

He is planning to major in civil engineering.
