The University of Oregon has announced the hiring of Kyler Moore as Head Coach for their Inaugural ACHA M1 season. “We are thrilled to have Coach Moore join the program here in Eugene” states Student Leadership President Austin Pultz and G.M. Craig Thornton. “Kyler brings the attitude and passion that has driven Oregon sports for decades. We look forward to his leadership representing the Ducks in the ACHA M1 Division” says Thornton.

Kyler grew up playing his youth AAA hockey in Colorado before embarking on a successful Junior career with the Bellingham Blazers (NPHL). He was named Captain in his rookie campaign and compiled 96 points in two seasons before shifting his sights to the collegiate level, playing in North Dakota and eventually ending up at the University of Mary under renown Head Coach Dan Huntley where he compiled 163 points in four seasons, winning two ACHA National Championships.

“I feel fortunate to have spent 4 years under Coach Huntley. He has been instrumental in my passion for coaching, I consider him a close friend and a mentor. The values I have learned along the way have prepared me for this journey with this incredible University, I feel extremely fortunate and cannot wait for things to get underway.”

Coach Moore currently resides in Corvallis, Oregon with his girlfriend Kat and their 3 dogs and two cats. The Ducks open their M1 season at home against Arizona State on October 7th.
