FOREST CITY, Iowa – The Waldorf Warriors D1 Men’s Hockey Team is excited to announce the addition of Liam Bell for the 2024-25 season. Head Coach Mike Heitkamp announced the signing of Bell, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan who comes to the Warrior program with four years of junior A experience.

Bell, a 6’1″ right-handed defenseman, started his junior career in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) for the Nipawin Hawks. He also played for the Kindersley Klippers, totaling 91 games played and 24 points during his three years in the SJHL. Bell played his last year of junior eligibility for the Kam River Fighting Walleye of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL), boasting an impressive 35 points in 39 games. Bell helped Kam River make it to the league’s finals in the SIJHL playoffs with another 6 points in 11 games.

“Liam is a huge gain for our program and where Waldorf Hockey is going,” said Waldorf Head Coach Mike Heitkamp. “He brings a wealth of experience and high-level talent to our team. Liam fills a hole that we were missing all last season on our power play, and we are looking forward to seeing him shine in that role. Liam provides a perfect mix of talent and grit that blends well with our current d-core. Both on and off the ice, we see Liam providing great leadership to our program over the next four years.”
