Winston-Salem, NC – The NC State Club Ice Hockey team secured its fourth straight ACCHL Championship Sunday, with a 3-0 shutout over No. 7 North Carolina.
The number three ranked Icepack scored three unanswered goals in the third period to cement the victory over the Tar Heels.
State outscored its opponents 11-4 in this year’s tournament, defeating UNC-Wilmington, Wake Forest and UNC en route to the championship.
With the win, the Icepack will compete in the ACHA men’s D2 National Championships for the third time in four years.
