OHIO UNIVERSITY’S LUC REEVE NAMED AMERICAN COLLEGIATE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION MEN’S DIVISION I PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Third Two-Time Player of the Year Winner and Fourth Bobcat in Team History
UNION LAKE, Mich. – (April 20, 2026) – The 2025‐2026 American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Men’s Division I Player of the Year Award goes to Ohio University forward Luc Reeve, as selected by the Head Coaches of ACHA Men’s Division I. Reeve joins goaltenders Brian Gallagher (2004) and Paul Marshall (2010), as well as forward Gianni Evangelisti (2020), as the fourth Bobcats player to win the award in its 27‐year history. Reeve is also one of three players that have won the award more than once, joining Jim Gehring of West Chester University (2008, 2009) and Brad Kobryn of Adrian College (2015, 2017). Reeve (2022-2023 season), alongside Brad Kobryn of Adrian College (2014‐2015 season) and Max Wagener of Maryville University (2024-2025 season), is one of only three players to win both Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year in the same season, while Kale Dolinski (2010‐2011 Rookie of the Year and 2013‐2014 Player of the Year); and Anthony Feyock (2003‐2004 Rookie of the Year and 2005‐2006 Player of the Year) accomplished the feat but in different seasons during their careers.

Reeve, a 5‐foot, 11‐inch, 185‐pound senior from Kingston, Ontario, capped off his season as the Bobcats co-leading scorer with 42 points by netting 21 goals and distributing 21 assists in 28 regular season games, with five game-winning goals and five power play goals. Reeve also scored four goals and four assists in four games at the 2026 ACHA Men’s Division 1 National Championships and was named the Joe Battista Tournament Most Valuable Player, as the Bobcats won their fifth ACHA Men’s Division 1 National Championship, tying Penn State University for the most titles in Division I history at five.
In 2024-2025, Reeve played 24 games tallying 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points, while scoring three game-winning goals and one power play goal.
In 2023-2024, Luc played in 33 games recording 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 points, scored five game-winning goals, five power play goals, three shorthanded goals, and was named Honorable Mention All-Tournament at the 2024 ACHA Men’s Division 1 National Championships.
2022-2023 was a magical individual season for Luc, as he won Men’s Division I Player of the Year, Men’s Division I Rookie of the Year, Men’s Division I 1st Team All-Athletic, Men’s Division I All-Rookie Team, Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) Most Valuable Player, CSCHL Rookie of the Year, CSCHL 1st Team All-League, and CSCHL All-Rookie Team. Reeve led the Bobcats with 75 points by netting 34 goals and distributing 41 assists in 33 regular season games. Reeve also added two goals and an assist in three games at the 2023 ACHA Men’s Division 1 National Championships and two goals and two assists in five games at the 2023 World Cup of Hockey in Carta, Romania, for the silver medalists from Canada. Categorically, Reeve led all Men’s Division 1 players in both power play points (26) and power play goals (14), was second in points per game (2.27), goals (34), and points (75), and was tied for third in assists (41). In addition, Reeve led all Men’s Division 1 rookies in points per game (2.27), goals (34), assists (41), points (75), power play goals (14), power play points (26), and tied for shorthanded goals (3). With Reeve’s contributions, the Bobcats finished the 2022‐2023 regular season with the No. 2 ranking. Reeve and Ohio University made it to the semifinals of the 2023 ACHA Men’s Division 1 National Championships, where he was named 2nd Team All-Tournament.
Prior to arriving at Ohio University, Reeve played youth hockey with the Kingston Frontenacs and Peterborough Petes programs before playing junior hockey with the Kingston Voyaguers, Collingwood Colts, Athens Aeros, and Aurora Tigers.

About American Collegiate Hockey Association
The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) was founded in 1991 and is the national association for Non-NCAA Collegiate Hockey throughout the United States.
