Intercollegiate athletic teams are fielded in men’s and women basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, softball, baseball and Esports. General Responsibilities – Serve as Full Time Head Men’s Ice Hockey Club Coach reporting to the Director of Athletics. Plan, organize, recruit, coach and direct operations for the Men’s Club Ice Hockey program. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to academic oversight, fundraising, and coordinating of camps and coaching clinics.
Duties include the following:
- Serve as Head Coach of the Men’s Club Ice Hockey D2 team in game competition in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Oversee the D3 team operations. Direct daily practice during the prescribed season.
- Supervise Assistant Coaches
- Recruit prospective student-athletes.
- Lead team travel.
- Responsible for team equipment checkout and return.
- Construct competition schedule with approval of the Director of Athletics.
- Assist with academic monitoring of student-athletes.
- Assist the Director of Athletics with public relations and fundraising activities.
- Direct summer camps
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Education, Fitness or related program is preferred
Two years ice hockey coaching experience required at the professional, college or high school level
