Wildcats Lose Close Game to #2 Ranked Minot State

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey dropped a hard fought 3-2 game against Minot State at home on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats had a 2-goal lead at the end of the first period, but were unable to hold Minot off the scoreboard in the second and the third. Arizona got goals from forwards Anthony Cusanelli and Matthew Marquis in the loss. Goaltender Nolan Bivolcic turned aside 37 of the 40 shots he faced.

The Wildcats will be on the road next week to play Grand Canyon University on Thursday night at 7pm. The Cats will return home on January 21st and 22nd to take on the University of Las Vegas-Nevada in WCHL Conference games. The Wildcats will host its second Paws and Pucks night of the season on the 22nd at 7:30pm

Arizona will have another two games against Minot State on February 11th and 12th in Minot, North Dakota. The Cats will look to return the favor and pick up some victories against the team that is currently ranked #2 in the ACHA.
