Central Region: Marian back in Top 10 after huge weekend against FGCU

The Sabres rose five spots this week after a weekend sweep of Florida Gulf Coast University, the #1 team in the Southeast Region. Wisconsin also rose three spots into #10 this week, placing three WCCHA teams in the Top 10. Trine University and University of Saint Thomas continue to battle for the second autobid slot, with UST taking the lead this week.

Northeast Region: UMass climbs over Boston College to get the top spot for the first time this season

Massachusetts made it to #1 for the first time this season, passing Boston College on the strength of a 5-1 win over the Eagles last Sunday. Army, Bridgewater State and Sacred Heart continue to shuffle around in the #9-#11 seeds, with the Cadets leading the three, followed by BSU and SHU.

Southeast Region: Louisville’s weekend sweep pushes them into Top 10

The Cardinals went out of conference the past weekend, going 2-0 and jumping from #15 to #10. Ohio State continues their last semester push, passing Penn State and grabbing the #7 seed with one ranking left before the break. NC State, who was idle last week, also moved up to #13 from #15 and is back in playoff position.

West Region: Williston State joins the rankings at #11

The Tetons made their first appearance, coming just ahead of Washington and Dakota College in the #11 spot. Williston is looking to continue to push up the rankings to secure a return to the regionals, after missing last season. Grand Canyon also moved up four spots from #14 to #10. The top nine teams remain the same for the first time this year, with a few teams moving up and down.

Men’s Division 2 postseason is broken into the two levels. The top two teams in each region receive an automatic bid to the National Tournament, making up half of the field. The other half of the field is determined in Regional Tournaments with 12 teams competing for the two remaining spots from each region. Those eight winners will then join the eight autobids in the ACHA National Championship Tournament presented by FloHockey, in Marlborough, MA on March 17-21, 2023.
