ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College Women’s ACHA Division 2 hockey team swept Michigan State University over the weekend to round out its regular season schedule, beating the Spartans 5-0 on the road and 4-1 at home.

The Bulldogs blanked the Spartans at Munn Ice Arena on Saturday, thanks to tallies from Ava Seychel, Jordin Give, Jasmine Reibel, and two from Aubrey Morrison. Freshman forward, Devon Cavaliere, collected three assists to pad the offensive effort, while goaltender, Emily Tracht, absorbed all 30 shots that came her way, earning the road shutout victory for Adrian.

On Sunday afternoon at the Arrington Ice Arena, the Bulldogs were successful in their effort to shut down their conference opponent who they will likely meet again next weekend in the CCWHA Conference Playoffs. Bria Hirschman (PP), Giove, Seychel, and Mary Robinson (PP) led the offense for the Bulldogs as Tracht stopped 26 of 27 shots to earn another strong victory in goal.

The WD2 Bulldogs close the 2023-24 regular season with a 13-5-0 overall record and a 12-5-0 conference record. The team currently sits at No. 3 in the ACHA Central Region national rankings and will now wait for the official CCWHA Conference Playoffs schedule to be released this week. The tournament will take place from February 23-25 at the Crystal Fieldhouse in Burton, Michigan. Information regarding the tournament can be found here, while a playoff preview for the Adrian Bulldogs will drop later this week.
