From Calvin Athletics
Calvin graduate Max Sieplinga is the subject of a feature story in the national online publication The Athletic today.
The story, which requires a subscription to The Athletic, details Sieplinga’s Howie’s Hockey Tape business which he developed shortly after his graduation from Calvin. Sieplinga’s business has grown considerably since its founding in 2006 and now supplies teams and athletes throughout the National Hockey League as well as several other teams from the professional and amateur ranks in both North America and Europe.
At Calvin, Sieplinga made his own mark on the school’s hockey program. A centerman on offense, Sieplinga is the Calvin career record holder in goals, assists and points. He helped lead Calvin to the 2004 ACHA Division III National title and was a two-time ACHA Division III All-American. In 2006, he was named the ACHA Division III National Player of the Year.
