The Hope College ice hockey team will skate seeking a fourth national championship next month in St. Louis, Mo.

The Flying Dutchmen (25-5) are seeded second for the 16-team national tournament, the ACHA announced last week.

The field was announced before Hope won the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference Vezina Cup playoffs.

The second-ranked ACHA Division 3 team will open the tournament by playing three pool play games at Centene Community Ice Center, the official practice facility of the National Hockey League’s St. Louis Blues.

On Thursday, March 7, at 5:45 p.m. Central, the Flying Dutchmen face 15th-seeded Sacred Heart University (Conn.).

On Friday, March 8, at 5:45 p.m., Hope plays 10th-seeded and conference rival Calvin University.

On Saturday, March 9, at 8:45 p.m., the Flying Dutchmen skate against No. 7 seed Dartmouth College.

Four pool-play winners advance to the national semifinals on Monday, March 11.

Hope has reached three consecutive national title games. The Flying Dutchmen finished national runner-up last season after claiming ACHA Division 3 championships in 2022 and 2021.

Hope also won a national title in 2018.
