Kent State vs Israel Select

From Kent State Hockey

By Zachary Nowak

Kent State is BACK but in a brand new way.

On September 8th and 9th, Kent State will take on the IEHL Israel Select Team at the Kent State Ice Arena for 2 exhibition games.

The Israel Selects are a team comprised of players from the Israel Elite Hockey League who will make the trip over to Kent, Ohio, for the games. Since the inception of the IEHL in 2020, Kent State Hockey has sent two players over to Israel to play in that league after graduation, Shae Spanier (2022) and Nathaniel Schwartz (2022). Both Shae and Nathaniel Played Haifa Mariners in the 2021-2022 season, with Shae also playing for Maccabi North Stars Metulla.

Since 2020, the IEHL has been not only providing competitive fun to watch hockey but growing the game in Israel and withing the Jewish communities. Kent State is happy and excited to host the IEHL Israel Select this September.

Make sure to get tickets now, as they are selling out quick. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be split between the Israeli Select team and the Kent State D1 Club Team to help with travel costs and fundraising for the upcoming season. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time through the link below. Season Ticket Passes do not apply to this special event.

We look forward to seeing everyone there to Pack The Nest!
