Weekend Recap & Upcoming Action

The Bryant Bulldogs hit the ice for a pair of road games this past weekend, battling Siena on Friday before bouncing back with a statement win over Westfield State on Sunday.

Friday, September 26 – Siena 5, Bryant 2

The Bulldogs opened their weekend with a hard-fought match-up against Siena. Zach Thompson set the tone early, netting Bryant’s first goal of the night to even things at 1–1 after the opening period. Kai Konstantino followed with a clutch goal in the second, sending the game into the third locked at 2–2.

The final period, however, tilted in Siena’s favor. A pair of shorthanded goals shifted momentum, and an empty-netter sealed the deal, handing the Bulldogs a 5–2 loss in their weekend opener.

Sunday, September 28 – Bryant 5, Westfield State 3

The Bulldogs came back hungry on Sunday, looking to rebound against Westfield, and they delivered. Nick Perniola was a force up front, scoring twice, including the dagger empty-net goal that capped the win. Adam Parker, Matt Flynn, and Matthew Martinelli each found the back of the net, giving Bryant a balanced attack throughout the night.

The game was a battle early, knotted at 1–1 after the first and 2–2 after the second. But in the third, the Bulldogs took control, outscoring Westfield down the stretch and closing the weekend with a 5–3 victory.

Looking Ahead

The Bulldogs aren’t slowing down. They’ll hit the road again this Friday against Fairfield with a 9 p.m. face-off before finally making their long-awaited home debut on Sunday. The puck drops at 3 p.m. at the Rhode Island Sports Center as Bryant hosts St. Joe’s in what promises to be an electric atmosphere.
