ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College Men’s ACHA Division 3 hockey team is proud to announce that forward, Evan Bliss (Woodhaven, Michigan / Woodhaven High School, MHSAA), will be the team’s Captain for the upcoming 2023-2024 season. Bliss served as an Assistant Captain during his sophomore season in 2022-2023 and will now lead the team as a junior. MD3 Head Coach Justin Snyder, who just wrapped us his first season as Head Coach of MD3 and second with Adrian College, also announced that juniors Antonio Briggs-Blake, Luc Miklos, and Evan Thomas will be the team’s Assistant Captains for the upcoming season.
Bliss studies Education at Adrian College and has provided 26 goals and 22 assists in 47 games as a Bulldog. During his first two seasons, he has been leaned on heavily for his leadership qualities as an underclassman. Coach Snyder had this to say about his new captain: “Evan stepped-up last year on being the leader for this team. He really is passionate about our program and wants the program and his fellow teammates to succeed on and off the ice. Bliss will lead our team and have a great support system behind him with Antonio, Luc, and Evan. I know this group will lead this team in the right direction of where we want to be, but what helps is that our locker room is all leaders. I am extremely excited for next season.”
Evan Bliss, who intends to lead his team in the right direction towards a bounce back season for the MD3 Bulldogs, stated: “I am honored to wear the “C” this season. The team believes in me to lead them on and off the ice, and I believe in them to focus and improve from last season.”
Antonio Briggs-Blake (Oxon Hill, Maryland / Bradford Bulls, GMHL) is entering his third season with the MD3 Bulldogs. In his first two seasons combined, Briggs-Blake has provided seven goals and 16 assists in 39 games played. He studies Sports Management and is a member of Adrian College’s Society of Sports Management.
Luc Miklos (Trenton, Michigan / Trenton High School, MHSAA) is also entering his third season with the MD3 Bulldogs and will be wearing an “A” as a goaltender. So far in two seasons, Miklos has posted a 5-8-0 record in 16 games played. He studies Sports Management.
Evan Thomas (Carmel, Indiana / Carmel High School, ISHSHA), who also enters his third season with the team, completes the all-junior leadership group for the MD3 Bulldogs. In two seasons, Thomas has provided one goal and four assists in 39 games played. He studies Business Administration.
