Men’s Division 2 Announces National Player of the Year

Troy, MI (4/2/24):  The Men's Division 2 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association is proud to announce this year's National Player of the Year, Charles Emme from Concordia University of Wisconsin.

This freshman had an incredible first season for Concordia, leading the nation in points with 86.  Emme was also tops in the country with 51 goals.  The Plymouth native helped the Falcons to the #3 seed in the Central Region with his seven Game Winning Goals.

Charles averaged 2.87 goals per game this year for the Falcons.  Of his 57 goals in 23/24 (regular and postseason), probably none was bigger than the overtime winner Emme scored on Day 3 of the Central Regionals vs. University of Minnesota.  That tally secured back-to-back National Tournament appearance for the Falcons.

This is second year in a row that a player from Concordia has been recognized as National Player of the Year, with Ian Malcolmson securing the award for the 2022/2023 season.  Along with this accolade, the forward was also placed on the All-Athletic First Team for Men's Division 2.

The finalists for this award were selected from the Regional Players of the Year, who along with Mr. Emme were; Caleb Kaiser of Army (Northeast), Dylan Kent from Liberty University (Southeast), and Jorgen Johnson of Montana State University (West).
