OptimX Cats Classic to be held January 19th-21st

From Northwestern Hockey

Northwestern Ice Hockey will be hosting the 1st annual OptimX Cats Classic.  We will be hosting Indiana University, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and The University of New Mexico.  This tournament will start late Friday night to allow all teams to travel into town at the Robert Crown Community Center with a double header.  Saturday’s games will partake during Hockey Day in Evanston which is a showcase of all the youth and high school teams in Evanston playing on the same day. The Cats will highlight this day with a 2:10pm puck drop vs Indiana University.  Hockey Day in Evanston will end with an 8:00pm matchup between New Mexico and MSOE.  On Sunday, we will move from the Robert Crown Community Center to Niles IceLand Skate to take the game outdoors.  It will be a double header starting at 10:45am and 1:00pm.  A full schedule is listed below and we hope to see the purple packing the barn all weekend.

Tickets cost 5 dollars and are sold at the door.  Youth Hockey Players, under 18, and Northwestern Students receive free admission. All proceeds from tickets go directly to the team as we are a self-funded organization
