REDHAWKS ON THE ROAD AGAINST NITTANY LIONS FOR GAME OF THE WEEK
TROY, Mich. – (January 18, 2024) – In the last ranking of 2023, Penn State University and Miami University were ranked in within 3 of each other, with Miami being ranked higher.
Penn State is 6-8-0-0, while Miami University is 1-9-2-0 so far this season. Both teams are members of the Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association (CCWHA).
“This weekend marks the beginning of ten consecutive league games for our team as we compete for a spot in the CCWHA playoffs. Looking forward to starting this very exciting stretch,” said Miami University Head Coach Eddie Ingersoll.
Going into this weekend, Penn State is 11th in the CCWHA rankings. Miami is 9th in the CCWHA rankings, with four CCWHA games in hand. Penn State is in the eastern division, while Miami is in the western division of the CCWHA.
In addition to being members of their respective conferences, they are also members of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Information about the ACHA can be found at achahockey.org and information on the CCWHA can be found on ccwha.net.
This week’s game is set for January 19th at 9:15 pm eastern time. The game will be played at Pegula Ice Arena located at 250 University Dr, State College, PA 16802.
