Steve Hyjek
– VICE PRESIDENT M3
Steve Hyjek serves as the ACHA’s Vice President for Men’s Division 3, as well as serving as the Head Coach of George Mason University’s Ice Hockey program. Hyjek has coached in the Washington area for over 35 years – to include the period of 2010-16 / 2018- present.
Hyjek was asked by the ACHA to fill the M3 Vice President vacancy in 2018 and was elected by the M3 membership in 2019 to serve on the ACHA Board through 2021.
Steve Hyjek has been active in community initiatives with the Washington Capitals for several years – to include the Caps Care Classic, Washington Capitals Annual Salute to the Military, and the Caps College Hockey Fair. Equally, George Mason raises over $25,000 annually for local charities, was recognized by the ACHA in 2015 with it’s National Community Service Award.
Married, with two children, Steve Hyjek serves as a Senior Policy Advisor on Defense & Aerospace issues for the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz.
