Women’s Division 1 Announces 23/24 All-Athletic Teams

Troy, MI — (March 6, 2023) The American Collegiate Hockey Association announced today the 2022-2023 All-Athletic teams  for women’s division one. The All-Athletic team awards are decided on by the competition committee, which is made up of five coaches in the division. Each conference (CCWHA, WMCH, WWCHL) provides their First All-Athletic teams, and the independent teams are able to nominate players as well.

 

FIRST TEAM ALL-ATHLETIC
Kayla Flanigan, SR, Midland University (Omaha, NE) Forward
Mady Johnsen, SR, Liberty University (St. Charles, MO) Forward
Tess McKerrow, JR, Adrian College (Kitchener, Ont) Forward
Aria Groot, JR, McKendree University (Cambridge, Ont) Defense
Allison Shaw, JR, Adrian College (Belle River, Ont) Defense
Hannah Stone, GR, Midland University (Killingworth, CT) Goalie

 

The first team accounted for 69 goals, 134 assists and a total of 203 points. The first team goalie, Hannah Stone, played in 20 games with a goals against average of 1.09, and a save percentage of 0.943.

 

SECOND TEAM ALL-ATHLETIC
Haley Battles, JR, Liberty University (Chesapeake, VA) Forward
Samantha Sensoli, SR, University of Michigan-Dearborn (New Boston, MI) Forward
Michelle Borland, SO, Indiana Tech (Dorchester, Ont) Forward

Chloe Burt, SR, Adrian College (Maidstone, Sask) Goalie

 

The second team accounted for 65 goals, 79 assists for a total of 144 points. The second team goalie, Chloe Burt, played in 27 games with a goals against average of 1.36, and a save percentage of 0.935.

 

There are eight of our thirty-one women’s division one teams represented on the All-Athletic teams. All of the teams represented have made it to the ACHA National Tournament.

 

The Zoe Harris National Player of the Year will be selected from the First All-Athletic team and will be announced on March 30th. The women’s division one Coach of the Year will be announced on March 29th.
