The Alexandria Blizzard of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Kaeden Krieg has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for the University of Mary (Burleigh County, North Dakota).
Over the past two seasons, the Dickinson, North Dakota native has played in 31 games for the Alexandria Blizzard. During those games his presence was felt on both sides of the puck. On top of being a reliable defender, he also recorded 21 points.
In the past two seasons, Krieg also spent time in the NAHL with the St. Cloud Norsemen.
This past season, Krieg was an important part of the Blizzard’s playoff run. The 6-foot-3 defenseman recorded two points in the six games he played in during the postseason.
The best performances of the 2025-26 season from Krieg came on March 7 against the Minnesota Wilderness. In that game, Krieg accounted for almost half of his nine points from the season. The 2006 birth year recorded four assists for the Blizzard, including an assist on the first three goals of the game.
Krieg is one of six players from the Alexandria Blizzard to make a college commitment this season.
