The Great Falls Americans of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Kaden Rhyder has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for the University of Jamestown.

Rhyder, 20, has been a key presence for the Great Falls Americans throughout his junior career, skating under Head Coach Greg Sears for three seasons. The ‘05 netminder appeared in 87 career games, including 10 Fraser Cup playoff contests, compiling an overall record of 56-32-3.

In his final season with Great Falls, Rhyder was outstanding between the pipes. He posted a 17-6-0-1 record during the regular season, including two shutouts, and ranked among the league’s top goaltenders, finishing second overall in save percentage at .940 and fifth in goals-against average at 2.106.

One standout performance came on January 9, when Great Falls earned a 4-1 victory over Sheridan. Rhyder faced a heavy workload, stopping 47 of 48 shots for a .979 save percentage and helping the Americans secure the win.

Over his career, Rhyder has consistently earned recognition for his play. He was named to the 2024-25 All-Frontier Division Team and the All-NA3HL Third Team, with the 2025-26 NA3HL Yearly Awards still pending.

Head Coach Greg Sears says Kaden’s leadership and personality have made him a cornerstone of the Great Falls program: “Kade has been the heartbeat of our team since he arrived in Great Falls. He has an infectious personality that spreads throughout our room and has been a huge part of our success the last couple of seasons. We are very proud of him and look forward to following him on his journey in college hockey.”

Rhyder is the first player from the Americans to make a college commitment this season.
