The Texas Brahmas of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman, Kayden Jones, has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Midland University (Fremont, Nebraska).

Jones had a long winded NA3HL career. He got his first taste of the league during the 2021-22 season when he made an appearance in five games for the Oklahoma City Ice Hawks. He played two games for the Wisconsin Woodsmen during the 2023-24 season before joining the Texas Brahmas in December of 2023. He remained a Brahmas for the rest of his time in the league. The 2025-26 season was his best offensively.

During the 2025-26 season, he recorded 40 points during the regular season, and an additional two points in the post season. He had six goals and 36 assists throughout 55 games. He was named to the NA3HL All-Divisional Team (South), and he was a captain during his age out year.

In February of 2026, Jones was selected to compete in the Top Prospects Tournament. The tournament consisted of the best uncommitted players in NA3HL and the NAHL. Jones represented the NA3HL on team Gold.

“Midland landed a great person, leader, and player. Excited to see what the future holds for him,” said Brahmas head coach Michael Rooney.

Jones’ best performance of the year came on Nov. 28 against the Tulsa Oilers. He scored two goals and recorded one assist to aid in the Brahmas’ 8-2 victory over the Oilers.

Jones is one of five players from the Texas Brahmas to make a college commitment this season.
