The 9th and 10th spot for the upcoming ACHA Men’s Division 2 National Championships will be earned today as the West Regionals will conclude with the top four seeds squaring off.
Final 1 #6 UCLA vs. #3 University of Providence
UCLA of the PAC made the finals on the strength of a 6-3 win over #9 Weber State. Providence, from the MWCHL, joined them after dispatching of Loyola Marymount, 6-4. If Providence wins, they will be the #3 seed in Pool B. If UCLA wins, they will be the #4 seed in Pool A.
Final 2: #5 MSU-Denver vs. #4 Montana State University
The MSUD Roadrunners will look to make another trip to the Nationals as a representative of the BMHC, after having little trouble with BYU, winning 6-1. On the other side, Montana State will try to punch their ticket to STL, after winning their opening game yesterday, 4-3 over Texas A&M.
Both teams could be #3 of Pool B or #4 of Pool A, depending on what happens in the other West Regional Game.
