The Minnesota Moose of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Brady Johnson has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, Arizona).
Since being traded to the Moose from the Gillette Wild during the 2024-25 season, Johnson has played a large role on the offensive side of the puck for the Moose. In 50 games in Minnesota, Johnson has recorded 62 points including 23 goals and 39 assists.
During the 2025-26 season the Brainerd, Minnesota native recorded 53 points in 42 games. The 19 goals that he scored left him ranked in the top-100 across all forwards and the 34 assists left him ranked in the top-50 in the league across all players.
“I’m super thrilled to continue my journey at GCU next year as a Lope. I am so grateful to have the chance to grow in my faith and attend such a beautiful school while playing hockey in such a great environment, said Johnson. “Most importantly, I want to thank my family, my teammates, my coaches along the way, and coach Roy for this special opportunity.”
The best performance of the 2025-26 season from Johnson came on Feb. 14 against the Minnesota Wilderness. In that game, Johnson scored a goal and added three assists in the Moose’s 8-2 victory on the road.
Johnson is one of seven players from the Minnesota Moose to make a college commitment this season.
