PNW Ice Hockey set to host annual Outdoor Series at Bulldog Park

The Purdue Northwest ACHA DI and DII hockey teams are set to host Outdoor Series games at Bulldog Park in Crown Point, Ind. on Friday, February 2 and Friday, February 9.

The series begins on Friday, February 2 when the #11 DI Hockey team hosts Roosevelt with puck-drop at 7:00 PM central time.

The following Friday on February 9, both teams will be in action with DII team hosting Concordia (Mich.) at 1:30 PM central time and then in primetime the #11 DI team takes on #13 Calvin in a Top-15 showdown at 7:00 PM central time.

“Being a resident of Crown Point and with my kids going to school here, it is very exciting to bring college hockey to Bulldog Park,” said ACHA DI Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Carl Trosien. “Last year was my first Outdoor Series game at Bulldog Park and it was an amazing experience. Our guys really do enjoy these games and excited to finish strong down the stretch.

“There’s always something special about playing outdoors,” said ACHA DII Head Coach Calvin Burkhart. “The air feels different, the ice feels different, and as a player you feel an excitement and freedom. We know our best hockey is ahead of us, and everyone is excited to showcase our best hockey in that setting.”

Entry to the event is FREE for all fans.
