Princeton Posse goalie Peyton Trzaska has signed to play for Adrian College in the American Collegiate Hockey Association in 2023-24.

Trzaska returned to the Posse last season from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s Neepawa Titans to post a record of 10-1-0-1 with a .922 save percentage and a 2.62 goals against average. The Drayton Valley, Alberta native helped lead the Posse to the KIJHL Teck Cup Championship with a 13-4 record with a .940 SP and a 2.04 GAA. In 34 career KIJHL games, Trzaska went 21-10-0-1 with a .918 SP and a 2.92 GAA.

“I am excited to be joining such a perennial powerhouse in Adrian College,” said Trzaska, 21. “They are committed to contending every year and being a competitive program. They have the educational programs I was looking for, and the staff in Princeton helped us connect in my 19-year-old season so it has been a really good fit.”

Being able to continue playing competitive hockey, along with furthering his life and education, Trzaska said, “it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.”

“I would like to thank the Princeton program for giving me the opportunity to play junior hockey and helping me every step of the way,” he said. “Thanks to the community, teammates and my billet family for making this possible.”

Posse Head Coach-GM Mark Readman said Trzaska had a tremendous impact on their club and community.

“He spent a significant amount of time at the Junior A level in all three seasons and this past year, backstopping our team to the finals. Peyton has been a standout and backbone to this organization during his time here,” said Readman. “We consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to help him along during his junior hockey career. Peyton will undoubtedly have success wherever he goes next, and Adrian is getting a phenomenal goaltender and an even better person.”
