From IUP Hockey
IUP Hockey forward #25 Jace Rearic continues to cement his legacy in Crimson, breaking two more franchise records after a dominant weekend on the ice.
Rearic now stands as the IUP Hockey all-time points leader, reaching 180 career points in 146 games, while also claiming the title of franchise all-time goals per season leader with 30. The milestone weekend came against Kent State and John Carroll, where Rearic showcased his elite offensive ability once again.
On Friday night versus Kent State, Rearic tallied 2 goals and 2 assists, controlling the pace of play and creating offense every time he touched the puck. He followed that performance with 2 more goals on Saturday against John Carroll, pushing him past the previous marks and further separating himself from the rest of the program’s record holders.
In his fifth season at IUP, Rearic’s résumé continues to grow. Already the program’s all-time assists leader, he has now added two of the most prestigious offensive records to his name. His consistency, vision, and scoring touch have made him one of the most dangerous offensive threats the program has ever seen.
And he’s not done yet.
Rearic currently sits just six goals away from breaking the franchise all-time goals record, another historic achievement well within reach as the season continues. Should he capture that final mark, there will be little debate, we’re talking about a Hall of Fame-type career at IUP Hockey.
As #25 continues his pursuit of greatness, one thing is clear: Jace Rearic isn’t just having a great season—he’s defining an era for IUP Hockey.
