W1 Indiana Tech Splits with Adrian College in Weekend Series

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 3 ranked Indiana Tech women’s hockey team took on the No. 2 ranked Adrian College Bulldogs in a two-game series over the weekend. Game one was on the road in Adrian, Michigan, where Tech defeated the Bulldogs with a 3-0 score. Game two was back in Fort Wayne, on Tech’s home ice, where the Warriors fell to Adrian with a 2-1 final score. The Warriors move to 13-2 on the season with the weekend results.

Tech took down the Bulldogs on the road in game one of the series finding the net three times to put the game away 3-0. Genessie Williams found the net in the first period for the Warriors on the power play. Assists for goal one came from Hailey Terpstra and Brooklyn Moore. Arina Jusczak scored twice for Tech in the third period to put the game out of reach. Izzy Pettem-Shand assisted her first goal, while goal two was on an assist from Genessie Williams. Mackenzie Addley played all sixty minutes in goal for Tech facing 44 shots from the Bulldogs, saving all 44.

In game two of the series, the Bulldogs broke the tie first, scoring their first goal in the first period before doubling their lead in the second. Dakota Bowler pulled one back for the Warriors in the third period on an assist from Brooklyn Moore, but Tech could not find another goal falling to the Bulldogs in game two of the series 2-1.

Tech is back in action on Friday, December 2, when they host Grand Valley State University in game one of a two-game series. Friday’s puck drop is set for 7:00 PM before they travel to Grand Rapids on Saturday for game two, which starts at 5:00 PM. Tech is 3-0 against the Lakers, scoring six goals in each of their previous three meetings, winning the most recent one 6-0.
