W1 Semifinals Recap

TROY, Mich. – (March 20, 2023) – The American Collegiate Hockey Association wraps up semi-final day of the Women’s DI 2023 National Tournament presented by FloHockey.

In the first game of the day, we had Minot State University take on Midland University. This was a Women’s Midwest Hockey League (WMCH) conference matchup. We were scoreless after two periods of hockey. Minot State would get on the board 5:36 into the third period. The beavers goal was scored by Sydney Spicer and assisted by Jordan Kulbida. Minot outshot Midland 40-36. Final: Midland University 0, Minot State University 1

Adrian College took on Liberty University in the second game of the day. The flames would score first with the goal being scored by Brityn Fussy. The bulldogs would tie it up with a shorthanded goal scored by Macy Piche. Adrian would score three goals in the second period. Liberty would score a goal with 7 seconds remaining in the second period. They would go into the intermission 4-2 in favor of Adrian. The third period would be all Liberty. They scored two back to back goals to tie the game 4-4. This game required overtime to decide the winner. Liberty’s Yannick Truter would get the overtime winning goal just 2:42 into the overtime period. Final: Adrian College 4, Liberty University 5
