Women’s Division II Announces 2023-24 All-Athletic Teams

 

TROY, Mich. – March 6, 2024 – The American Collegiate Hockey Association’s Women’s Division II (W2) is pleased to recognize the 12 players named to the 2023-24 season’s first and second All-Athletic teams.

 

Over 50 players across W2 were nominated by either their own team or another member team, and the winners below were ultimately voted on and selected by a committee of W2 coaches. These players represent all-around exceptional athletes, students, and teammates.

The First Team features three players that will make a return to the ACHA National Championships stage this year after having competed in 2023: Emily Moore of Sault College (tournament MVP in 2023), Kristina Cornelio of US Naval Academy, and Maddy Boyle of University of Delaware.

From the Second Team, Adrian College’s Jordin Giove, Providence College’s Brooke Rogers, and Assiniboine’s Meagan Carnegie also competed at Nationals in 2023, and will return as participants in St Louis for the upcoming 2024 Championships.

 

It is also worth highlighting the following players for their contributions to their teams, who received noteworthy consideration in the voting process.

Additional W2 awards from the 2023-24 regular season are forthcoming, including the Zoe Harris Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Community Playmaker, and Off Ice MVP.

 

The Women’s D2 tournament at the 2024 ACHA National Championships presented by FloHockey will begin Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the Maryville University Hockey Center (MUHC) in Chesterfield, Missouri. The championship game will be played on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Centene Community Ice Center (CCIC), the practice facility for the NHL St. Louis Blues.
