The Austin Ice Bats of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward, Jake Bamback, has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, Arkansas).
Bamback spent two years in the league. During the 2024-25 season he was on the El Paso Rhinos. The 2025-26 season was his most successful season statistically, and it is when he joined the Ice Bats. He led his team in goals and overall scoring. He was ranked 9th in the league in overall points and his 1.89 points per game left him ranked 27th in the league.
During the 2025-26 season, he recorded 87 points during the regular season, and an additional nine points in the post season. He scored 41 goals and recorded 46 assists during 46 regular season games. He also scored an additional three goals and six assists during the Bats’ post season playoff run.
Bamback had multiple five point games during the season. One of his best performances of the year came on Feb. 8 against the Tulsa Oilers. He scored two goals and recorded three assists to aid in the Bats’ 13-0 shutout victory over the Oilers.
Bamback is one of six players from the Austin Ice Bats to make a college commitment this season.
