The Austin Ice Bats of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward, Liam Cardona, has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, Arkansas).
Cardona spent one year in the league as an Ice Bat. He was one of the leading scorers on his team and was ranked 3rd on his team in assists.
During the 2025-26 season, he recorded 62 points during the regular season, and an additional three points in the post season. He scored 21 goals and recorded 41 assists during 47 regular season games. He also scored an additional goal and two assists during the Bats’ post season playoff run.
In February of 2026, Cardona was selected to compete in the Top Prospects Tournament. The tournament consisted of the best uncommitted players in NA3HL and the NAHL. Cardona represented the NA3HL on team Gold.
Cardona’s best performance of the year came on Dec. 7 against the Tulsa Oilers. He had an eight point game, consisting of four goals and four assists to aid in the Bats’ 16-1 victory over the Oilers.
Bamback is one of six players from the Austin Ice Bats to make a college commitment this season.
