Troy, MI. (4/18/24): The Men's Division 2 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association is proud to announce their 2023/2024 Community Service Award to Boise State University.
The Broncos held their annual "Putting Senior Hunger on Ice" game this past season on January 27, 2024. The event raised $42,500 for Meals on Wheels of Metro Boise. Those funds will be used to provide 8,500 meals to the elderly and home-bound individuals in the area. The game was not promoted just by BSU hockey, but by the Booster group and local sponsors, helping to draw almost 5,000 fans to the downtown Boise arena. During the past 12 years this event has taken place, over $450,000 has been raised by Boise State and their supporters.
Boise State, along with the other four Division winners are the finalists for the ACHA National Community Service Award for the 2023/2024 season. The winner will be announced later this month.
