ADRIAN, Mich. — Adrian College has announced the hiring of Triston Jensen as the new head coach of the Adrian College ACHA Women’s Division 2 hockey team.
Jensen comes to Adrian College from the Battle Creek Kernels of the USPHL Premier League, where he served as both head coach and general manager from 2022-26. During his tenure with the Kernels, Jensen compiled a 47-123-6 overall record. Prior to his time in Battle Creek, Jensen served as the head coach and general manager of the Rum River Mallards of the USPHL Premier League from 2019-22.
A native of White Lake, Michigan, Jensen also brings collegiate playing experience to Adrian College. He attended Saginaw Valley State University for three seasons, where he was a member of the Saginaw Valley State University men’s ACHA Division 3 hockey team, after spending one season with the University of Toledo men’s ACHA Division 3 hockey team.
As a goaltender, Jensen appeared in 46 career games between the two programs, recording a .877 save percentage and a 6.74 goals-against average. He graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2020.
Prior to his collegiate career, Jensen played for the Minnesota Owls of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MNJHL) during the 2014-15 season. He appeared in 16 games, posting a .877 save percentage and a 6.47 goals-against average.
Jensen will take over the reins of the Adrian College ACHA Women’s Division 2 hockey program effective immediately.
